FENARETE

Vocational training and support for the inclusion and employment of educators within interventions aimed at persons who prostitute themselves

FENARETE was implemented between January 2002 and December 2003 in six EU countries. The amnesty project was carried out in Germany by Amnesty for Women e. V. and Hydra e.V. (meeting point and advice to prostitutes) in Berlin. Veronica Munk at Amnesty for Women e. V.  and Friederike Strack at Hydra e. V. were responsible for their coordination.

The project was supported by the European Commission for education, training and youth in the program of LEONARDO DA VINCI. The main coordination was carried out by Comitato per I Diritti Civile delle prostitute in Pordenone, Italy.

FENARETE offered practicing and former sex workers the opportunity to vocational training programmes to become an educator (multiplicator) with emphasis on justice, health and social affairs. The training was aimed at educators in institutions (GOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working to join the team.
