FEMMIGRATION

Information on the Internet about migration, sex work and trafficking of women

FEMMIGRATION was carried out in four stages from December 2000 to November 2004 in 13 EU countries. Within its four stages it was coordinated by Amnesty for Women e.V. by Petra Pfollmar, Lena Dammann, Daniela Hodl, Juliet Manzi and Veronica Munk.

The project was supported by the European Commission for Justice, fundamental rights and citizenship within the DAPHNE Programme (fight against violence towards children, adolescents and women). The main coordinator was Amnesty for Women e.V. in Hamburg.

FEMMIGRATION offered an easily accessible and understandable presentation on the internet of the most important details about trafficking of women, migration and sex work in the EU. It was aimed at organizations and authorities in their countries of origin, as well as the female sex workers. It provided extensive information for women who wanted to emigrate to the European Union. The website also shared a variety of medical and social care services for them in 13 EU countries.
