Our goals

Public relations: as a human right organisation AfW's main goals are to raise awareness about and to fight against isolation, segregation, repression and all kind of violence (e. g. domestic violence, trafficking in women) which befall women because of their sex and migration status.

Lobbying: AfW works for sustainable improvements in the political and legal situation for migrants in Germany and the integration of female migrants at local, national and international levels. We aim to sensitise the society about issues surrounding migration and the presence of female migrants in the country. We work together with each individual, helping them to find ways to solve the problems with which they are faced.

Groundwork: AfW seeks to ease the living and working conditions of migrant women, by supporting them and strengthening their ability to make independent choices. We offer these women support in the sense of "helping them to help themselves" and work to develop collaborative solutions. All Advice on legal issues and psychological/social counselling is offered in the women's native languages.
